Eskdale - Lake District Walk

The original plan for today had been to do Scafell with Robert but he decided that he'd rather go on L'Ratty with John so I was left to walk on my own. I set off with no firm idea of where I was going other than to head up to Eel Tarn and then to see where I fancied going. It was the hottest day's walking I have experienced all year and once I started heading towards Dawsonground Crags I decided I really couldn't be bothered with any up hill walks today so I headed for the Woolpack Inn and a delightful walk next to the river Esk.

St Catherine's Church. It was only when I downloaded the pictures that I noticed the effects of a drop of water on my lens which is why you may have noticed a small area in some of the pictures that looks blurred. Another lesson learnt!
